Region III Civil Rights Conference The Milwaukee branch of the NAACP is hosting the 7 state Midwest Region III Civil Rights Advocacy Training Institute from April 12th through the 15th at the Hilton City Center, 509 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Conference attendees will be in attendance from Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, West Virginia, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. The conference includes the following events: Thursday, April 12: Community Fellowship Luncheon Gospel Explosion Opening delegates reception Friday, April 13: Civil Rights leadership breakfast Membership luncheon Essence of Soul dinner Receptions for youth and adults Saturday, April 14: Women in the NAACP (WIN) breakfast Youth luncheon Regional Freedom Award Banquet For all three days there will be workshops on political action, voter education, stay-in-school tips; health insights; and exciting speakers from national and local groups.
